The Significance of Qurbani in Islam

Qurbani is not just an ancient tradition, but a profound Islamic practice that embodies the spirit of sacrifice and benevolence. It is a demonstration of obedience to Allah’s command, an act of generosity, and a reflection of gratitude for the blessings we have received.

The Quranic Verse About Qurbani

The importance of Qurbani is emphasized in the Quran in Surah Al-Hajj (22:37):

“Neither their flesh reaches Allah, nor their blood, but it is your piety that reaches Him.”

This verse underscores that it is not the meat or blood of the sacrificed animal that benefits Allah; rather, it is the intention and piety of the individual making the sacrifice.

The Hadith on Qurbani

The tradition of Qurbani is also supported by various Hadith. One well-known Hadith narrated by Ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) states:

“The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) lived in Madeenah for ten years, offering sacrifice (every year on Eid).”

This Hadith highlights the Prophet’s practice of Qurbani as a part of his devotion and obedience to Allah.

How Qurbani Helps Those in Need

By donating your Qurbani to Al Jaariyah Welfare Foundation, you contribute to providing nutritious meals to impoverished families. Through this act of giving, we enable these families to experience the joy of Eid al-Adha as a united ummah. In the past years, our Qurbani project has made a significant difference in the lives of some of the world’s most vulnerable and disadvantaged communities in Kenya, Tanzania, Somalia, and Yemen.

The sacrificed meat is distributed while it is fresh to those who need it most, including disabled individuals, widows, and orphans. Through this initiative, we not only fulfill a religious obligation but also alleviate the suffering of those facing hardship and scarcity. Your support and generosity allow us to continue this tradition of compassion and charity.

Join us in making a positive impact this Eid al-Adha by participating in our Qurbani Project. Your contribution helps spread love and compassion to those who need it the most, fulfilling the true essence of Qurbani and the teachings of Islam. Together, we can make a difference and bring joy to the lives of those less fortunate
